Jim Pinto is a twenty-year veteran of the gaming industry. He served several years as Art Director at Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG) simultaneously overseeing collectible card games Doomtown, 7th Sea, and Legend of the Five Rings, in addition to their roleplaying games. Jim highlights the laborious nature of DMing and how it has increased relative with D&D’s evolution, and how tangible tools have been replaced by vague bullshit. He advocates giving players agency in greater measure than power.
